Harry managed to stay relatively calm until Tonks's reply arrived. Her voice calmed him somewhat, since she sounded relatively calm. "Yeah," he said, reaching out to pat the dog, but it disappeared before he touched it and he drew his hand back. "No rushing in. Right."
Much as he hated to admit it, she was right. It was much easier hearing it from her, though, than it was these days coming from Ron. He might not be about to rush in to save Mr. Lovegood - Malfoy had said they had until Friday, after all, assuming he kept his word on that point - but he was going to find out what his friend was up to. Of course, that generally required finding Ron first, which was harder and harder to do these days.
He didn't know when Tonks was getting home from work, but he stayed in a place where it would be safe for her Patronus to contact him at any time, despite how frustrating it was.
