Romilda smiled, laughing softly as he talked to his joints. She found his little oddities incredibly endearing. She was odd too, after all, though in a different way. But if they were odd in the same way, they wouldn't really be so odd, would they?
She lifted one hand as he approached, to salute him, grinning. "Ready, good sir," she said, and she was. She'd taught her little cousins to skate, helping David wouldn't be that different, would it? If she just positioned herself right, the fact that he was a full-grown man and not a little child shouldn't really make much of a difference.
Grabbing hold of his forearms and encouraging him to grab onto hers, she kept her knees slightly bent, ready to react to anything. She skated backwards slightly, pulling him with her; the movement was usually more helpful for staying upright than standing still. "Just move your feet," she suggested. "Like stepping and sliding to each side."
