He was doing that thinking thing, when he went off by himself. Zach was used to it at work, so it was fine. And really, it was a Gilbert thing. Zach ate his biscuit, taking a look or two around the kitchen, so as not to be staring at Gilbert when he came back to. Then he took the tea and was glad for another way not to stare if it happened again.
Hestia, Zach was not surprised by the name. She visited Gilbert at work sometimes, and that was probably easier than a visit at home. For Gilbert that was. He really didn't strike Zach any more now than before as a natural social being. Then Gilbert spoke again, and a true gossip, Zach knew it was something important, but as a friend, a coworker, Zach didn't comment, especially not contradict Gilbert.
"Your place is excellent for company," Zach complimented, "and you have good food and drink." He smiled a little, hoping Gilbert would feel better. He was really interested about London, naturally, since he lived there, but it seemed a sensitive topic.
"Well you have Hestia and me," Zach reassured Gilbert, "That makes people."
