Harry gave a little grin at that. "It was an accident," he said, amused. "Just kind of happened, when I jumped. One of those things you don't really forget, though, finding out what troll boogers look like."
Well, good, at least it was definitely Ron. And they were both in a relatively good mood now at the memory, so the question had served two purposes. Maybe it had come to mind because Harry had been thinking about what they'd used to be like, running off and saving the world together, rather than being disbanded like this with Ron shouldering most of the responsibility. Or maybe because he was trying to help Ron the way they'd helped Hermione. Either way, it seemed appropriate.
"Anyway," he said, deciding to get to the point, "I know you're doing some dangerous things lately. And either you don't want my help, or something -- I know there's less that I can do while we're not stocked up on Polyjuice -- but I'd really like to help you. Then, today, I found this." He took the tiny bottle out of his pocket, wax still sealing the cork into the top; it had never been opened. "I figured you need this more than me, right now."
