Oh, God. Was it possible to take their usual brilliance and amplify it by about a million? Yes, yes, it was. Her hands hooked around his neck as they kissed and she felt almost like she was trying to climb him, or like the soul within her was magnetized to the soul within him and their bodies--oh, fuck, their bodies--needed to be as absolutely close as possible to join the souls together as much as they could manage.
But their clothes, their clothes were in the way. Holy fucking hell, she needed to get his clothes off of him, needed there to be nothing obstructing them from one another. This was not a fun shag in the snow, not an emotional shag against the wall of her flat because they'd been afraid they'd never have seen the other again. No, they were nearly invincible now. They weren't going anywhere. This, this, was because of them, not initiated by any outside force or circumstance. This was one-hundred percent, unadulterated want and desire and desperation to settle in against his bones.
She tore at his clothing, pulled a shirt over his head, fumbled when trying to unfasten his belt to get his trousers off. And she hadn't even begun to comprehend the magnitude of the way she felt, in her very core, each surge of energy as the room around them, the bodies at their feet, burst into flame. It was like she was the one erupting with fire, even though she knew with no lingering doubt that these flames belonged to him.
Sure, she'd always been the possessive, jealous type when it came to Terrence. But, as they both got the last of their clothing off, she practically purred at how much those feelings had physically manifested. The E on his chest showed that she had his heart. The marks her hands and teeth had caused showed her that she had his body and--fuck--she had his soul residing within her. She had him, heart, body and soul and, hell, with the way this felt, she had his mind, too. She could feel exactly what he felt as he touched her, as they kissed here in the midst of these flames. And, there had never been any doubt to her, that he had full ownership of the same in return. God, she was so his, had been since the moment they'd met.
