Terrence couldn't honestly say that he needed this. He was definitely reveling in the power of his hyena body as it ran, though, pushing himself to the limit. It seemed only appropriate that he add to the destruction of the day, make his muscles burn and his lungs ache, and break himself and Ella at the same time in the best way possible, first in the joy of the chase and capture, and then in their human bodies. She kept him sane, and was the source of his insanity; no matter what else affected his mood, she was the ultimate reason why he was where he was today, and he meant that as a good thing.
They'd been through absolute, utter shite together, but there was nowhere he'd rather be than on the road to hell with her, by her side the whole way. Fuck blissful ignorance, fuck contentment, he didn't need either of those things. Chaos, blissful chaos, in the midst of violence, it was all just the perfect backdrop for her, and it was fading away quickly now that he'd caught sight of her.
If he broke everything he touched, at least he could count on Ella to never be truly destroyed. She was like him, that way; what didn't break her only made her stronger.
Still laughing his head off, he dodged trees and churned up snow as he followed her at top speed, the last of his negative emotions burning away with the physical exertion.
