If she'd had even the slightest semblance of rationality in her right now, she might have realized the importance or the meaning of what he was implying, of the time line of their friendship. But she didn't. She was a mess; hurt, confused, afraid, angry and betrayed. He'd betrayed her, and that was all she could see right now.
"Don't tell me what to do!" She snapped back, though to her credit she actually did lower her voice. "Don't you dare! No one tells me what to do, no one ever-" Or at least, they never had before. Except wasn't that how she'd been living for the past several years, doing exactly what they told her to? Oh God. And what did he mean? What would he do if anyone overheard them. "Who are you, even?" She wiped a hand over her eyes, the fabric of her mitten brushing over her skin and absorbing the tears which continued to stream from them. "It's like I don't even know you. It's like I don't even know me anymore. I hate this!"
She wanted to scream again, but she bit back the volume, hands clenched into fists at her side. Quaffle still stood between her and T, poised to attack at a word from Katie or a single sign of untoward movement from T, but she barely noticed him as the words spilled from her in a sob. "I hate this, I hate all of it. And you- I trusted you and you're one of them, you're a murderer! Aren't you? Didn't you say it, blood on your hands, oh God this whole time it's been all fun and games and you with innocent blood on your hands from the people you killed for them and I liked you, I thought you were my friend and all this time-" And all this time what? All this time he could have killed you and he didn't? It was a faint glimmer of rationality, but she didn't want it right now and she shoved it aside. "It's all a lie! Everything is a lie you bastard and I HATE IT!"
She raised her hands to cover her mouth and they were shaking and she hated that too, hated the way her whole body was shaking, the way it was hot with rage even as the tears sliding down her cheeks felt cold against her skin. "Stay away from me." Her voice was low and hoarse and she dropped one hand to slip into her pocket, wrapping it around her wand, though she didn't pull it out just yet. "You stay the hell away from me you lying, murdering bastard."
