"Living room's good," Kevin said, grinning. He could smell her shampoo when she was standing close with her back to him like this, or maybe it was a soap, or a lotion. Whatever it was, he liked it. "Living room leads to the upstairs, and there's another staircase nearer the back to make a nice circle."
If they got that far, of course. She was distracted, he could tell, and frankly so was he. It wasn't often that they got time alone, after all. He would never complain about having Dean around, because Dean was awesome, but Dean always looked a little awkward when he walked in and they were curled up together. Which had happened more than once to the poor kid, and Kevin always felt bad for it, especially when things with Seamus didn't seem to be very easy to work out.
He moved carefully, feet on either side of hers, as he guided her into the living room. "Su, meet the living room. Telly, couch, chairs, family photos, meet Su."
