Remaining (relatively) sane in the life he was currently living, Terrence was discovering, was all about balance. He could handle all of the necessary violence and plotting on the Dark Lord's behalf so long as he was also having random crazy adventures with Katie or meeting up with Ron Weasley in a shed, or something else that was distinctly on the other end of the spectrum. But he didn't want to go too far in the normal or rebellious directions, either. Balance, for Terrence, wasn't about finding a happy medium, it was about bouncing all over the spectrum so that he never stayed in one place for long. Staying in one place meant boredom, and he wasn't prepared to handle boredom yet.
Archery with Fletcher wasn't exactly on the Death Eater obligations end of the spectrum, because he hadn't been ordered to do it, though it was close, since he was bonding with a fellow Marked man over a shared dislike of Muggles. Not that Terrence actually disliked Muggles on principle, he just accepted that was how the world worked. But on the other hand, they were painting with rainbows and using homemade weapons, which took away from making him feel like he was leaning too far in that particular direction. He had a feeling it was going to be quite enjoyable.
They'd agreed to meet at the Leaky with their equipment before going out to find their targets, and that was why Terrence was here on Saturday afternoon, two hand crafted bows slung over his shoulder. He took a seat at the bar but shook his head at the offer of a drink; drinks were for later, when they could toast their skills. He was humming with too much energy to sit and drink yet, but he waited patiently, scanning the bar for Fletcher.
