He looked to her, wanting to explain how it was the Ministry that was wrong. How it was the system she had so much belief in. But he felt as if, perhaps, it was wise not to even continue trying. He shook his head.
"You don't need to worry about trying to make me feel better. You don't even have to write to me, if you don't want to. I don't want you to feel obligated. But please...if you can manage it, can we keep this to ourselves? As we have been?"
He needed to make sure before he left that he hadn't terribly upset her. He didn't want to push her towards solace from her sister. That was the worst possible outcome he could imagine.
