"What? What would you do if you knew something occured because of me?" He asked, certainly before he had a chance to truly think about how the question could be infered. He was frowning now, because he was confronting his fear in regards to Patience. Would she alert her sister? The Ministry? All she needed to tell them was she was speaking with the man who bit her and his name was John. They'd figure it out. They weren't that foolish.
He frowned more when he noticed the hound had retreated but he didn't falter. This wasn't the man he wanted to be, not willing to trust in people and cold. He took in a breath. "I need to know I can trust you, Patience," he said then, against his better judgment.
"I will not hurt your friend. I'm not even certain if I know him. It just seems like a vastly high coincidence," he explained.
