Remus felt the immediate twinge of guilt upon the sight of Patience. This, he recalled, was the reason he needed to simply avoid the girl. But he was unable to do that, especially when he considered someone a friend, and they so clearly wanted to see him. He knew this was foolish. He didn't make exception for others. He rarely saw people. It had been over nearly two months since he had seen Aberforth or any of the Weasley's, though he conversed with Fred from time to time, but here he was making an exception for Patience.
He wondered if it was because of his own guilt at her circumstance or his guilt for being unable to be truthful with her that drove him to accepting the invitation. Or perhaps even something deeper. Perhaps he was tied to her because of their bond of the moon? He wasn't sure. All he did know was that he felt as if he couldn't go without seeing the woman any longer. He couldn't make any more excuses for his absence.
He glanced to the wolf hound that was by her side and though he had looked forlorn upon a first glance, he began to smile. "Hello Patience. I see you've found yourself a friend?" He asked with a small smile.
"I've been alright. How have things been for you?"
