Patience was blissfully unaware of John's concerns. She was just here to see him, to deliver one of her favorite types of gifts, the autumn care package. Which was really just a hand woven basket filled with apple and pumpkin (mostly pumpkin) in many different varieties of food, from pasties to pie to bread and cookies to simple candied apples. There as also a handmade wreath of pinecones and colorful leaves, charmed to stay fresh and in place without drying out or crumbling, and a jar of cinnamon spiced cider.
Something about fall made Patience even more creative with the things she made, both in and outside of the kitchen, and those things were intended to be shared.
She wasn't alone, but she hadn't brought any other people with her. No, it was King at her side, her faithful wolf hound, who had come with her almost everywhere since she'd gotten him. They had bonded immediately, and she was sure that he would never hurt a soul unless he believed her to be in danger.
Apparating a little bit away, she told King to heel, and he stayed close to her side as she moved into the small little opening in the trees, which was where she'd once had a garden, and where she'd been bitten. It wasn't a place that held bad memories for her, at all. King wasn't here for protection, just because he liked the forest as much as she did.
"Hi!" she said, smile blossoming when she spotted John under his traveling cloak. "How have you been?"
