He gave a shrug of his shoulders. He supposed she had a point. They were able to confide in one another and that was a way of keeping them both safe. Then he smiled lightly. "Someday I hope that does happen. I'd like to be the one providing for us," he said, but almost in a dreamy way. He wasn't sure if he was ever going to be able to do that. He had a feeling it'd be years before he was able to actually work again.
Not wanting to think about that, he glanced down at her and listened to her suggestion. His smile grew as he considered the possibility of a holiday with her. "Hopefully. We can go anywhere you want. I'll just be happy to be with you."
"Well, once Patience has left, feel free to perch on my shoulder. I won't mind at all and it'll ease your curiosity about the matter," he said with a laugh.
