"I wish you didn't have to keep me safe. That isn't the way it is supposed to work," he said quietly. In a normal world, he was supposed to provide for her. That was the way society typically functioned and expected things to pan out. He certainly wasn't supposed to be hiding and relying upon her. It was never fair that she had to go through so much for him. "But I am glad you are," he added because it was the truth. He knew he wasn't part of a normal world, by any stretch of the imagination. He just sometimes lamented that fact, wishing so much that he could be the one taking care of her.
"I'm not going stir crazy," he then stated, more to make himself feel better then to truly argue. He felt guilty about his desire to get out of the house. It wasn't respectful of him to try and break from the safety Tonks had arranged for him. "Well...not horribly at least," he then clarified, because it was pointless to try and lie to Dora.
"Yes, we certainly do need to go about it carefully. Are you sure? I could tell her it is impossible...I could try to sev..." he began but cut himself off at the concept of severing ties. Even though the words had crossed his mind, when he tried to speak them, he felt how untrue they were. He wasn't willing to severe ties with anyone, not really. He had so few people in his life already, even before he was on the run. He didn't want to make it even less. He cleared his throat and couldn't help but smile lightly at her suggestion. "I think that is a wonderful idea. It'd be a comfort knowing you was close."
