Kevin wasn't having any of Su's gentle hugging bollocks. Yes, okay, he was hurt, but he'd nearly forgotten about that at this point. It wasn't like he was particularly fragile, he'd just been scraped up a bit. The point now was that it was dark and he didn't know his way home. But Su was here! And before he could even respond to her, Dean was there too, his voice sounding from behind the light that had suddenly erupted into the darkness and blinded Kevin.
"It's me!" he said, grinning as he hugged Su tightly. "And I'm not a KID, you guys! It just got dark and I tripped and got a little lost. There's no roaches in these woods so far as I can tell - I probably scared 'em off with my yelling about roach soup. And smashing them with my shoes."
"But I'm glad you found me," he said happily, oblivious to most of their panic. "I really want to curl up in a bed and watch The Princess Bride! And discuss supervillain costumes," he added, looking at Su. "With leather and capes! First, though, can we leave the forest?"
