"Pants lend themselves well to being a part of nicknames," Terrence said, nodding as wisely and seriously as he could manage. He smirked. "And you'll only win a sword fight if I let you win."
Which he might consider doing. At least, he probably wasn't going to bring his full skill with blades to the fight, even if they were fake. But he supposed that depended on how good she actually was with a plastic sword.
And her parrot, well, that was absolutely brilliant. He burst out laughing at its squawked request for glitter, and grinned before Apparating them away.
They landed on a small pier, the exact location of which Terrence hadn't even bothered to discover. He also hadn't bothered with Apparating far enough away to avoid being seen by the boat captain they were here to meet, since the man was a wizard - which would make their job much easier, since he'd taught Terrence the spells necessary to steer. He'd spotted them almost immediately, and Terrence caught sight of him waving excitedly from his little fishing boat.
"Ahoy!" he said, jogging up to the boat with a grin. "Katie, meet Captain Ed. Ed, this is Katie, also known as SeƱor Fluffy-pants."
Ed, who was a short, slightly balding and rotund wizard in his retirement and owned the boat for fun, grinned at Katie. "Arr," he said. "Fraid there's no rum on board the Sea Queen, but ye two scurvy dogs look like ye'll have fun all the same."
