"It's funny, usually things are more fun at three in the morning," Kevin said. He was knitting quickly as he watched her, torn between wanting to get it done and wanting to join her. He'd just finish the row he was on, he decided, and then jump in. "Except when you want to be asleep, I suppose."
He finished the row and set the needles aside, careful to tuck them down on the side of the mattress so they wouldn't accidentally land on them (which would hurt). Then he grinned at her and started towards the pile. "If you want to move before I jump in, better do it quick!"
