Theodore blinked at the woman that appeared on the screen, dressed in Muggle clothes. It wasn't a blank portrait after all, it was... one that was controlled by that wand-like thing Blaise was using. But it was a Muggle thing, Blaise had said.
"What do you use it for?" he asked, approaching the thing to try to examine it more closely. The woman seemed not to notice him, but he wasn't sure if that meant she wasn't aware of him. "Can she hear me?"
He really didn't know what to make of it. It wasn't that he was particularly discriminatory against Muggles, but he'd been brought up in a strictly pureblood household, and had never seen anything even remotely Muggle in a wizard's house. He hadn't really expected someone like Blaise, who had taken the Mark and by all accounts cared much more about blood status than Theodore himself did, to have something like this.
