"It was only for the night. I needed to clear my head and I figured none of you should have to deal with me when I do that," he explained. He rarely got drunk to that point, but he knew none of his family liked seeing him that way. So he spared them the show when it happened, though it was so rare as of late it had only occurred in Romania anyway. "It never seems worth it come morning, does it?" He said with a shrug of his shoulders. He didn't dare tell his brother he couldn't remember all he had done, though he hoped it was drank himself under the table.
"I just wanted to see what was up. Bill was pretty torn up about your comments in his journal and I wanted to make sure you was alright. What Bill told me didn't sound like you at all," he said. He didn't want to make it sound like he was accusing Fred, he wasn't, but he wanted to make sure he knew all the facts. He couldn't mediate without knowing the whole story. And besides, he was worried.
