She felt so childish, so silly, but hearing those words come from him made her eyes prick once again with tears. It had been so long since she had felt like she was. It was only when she was being noticed in his eyes that she felt like she was beautiful. He made her feel that way. And between feeling as if she was no longer attractive to him, possibly because of having Victoire, and as if he had grown passive to them as a couple, the justification that she had been wrong brought tears to her eyes. She sniffled, wiping at her eyes. She didn't need to be crying.
"I've missed you, Bill," she whispered against his lips. She didn't know if he was still in the fog or not, but he was at least out of the fog when it came to her. All she needed to do was speak up. The theatrics were unnecessary, as it appeared. But he was her Bill again.
At least for tonight. She did hope he would always be her Bill.
