"Convenient!" She repeated, but this time her voice leaped from being pitiful to shouting. With the words she leaped up to standing, staring down at him.
"How else am I supposed to take it, Bill? You know...you know I wasn't going to leave because of how much I care about you...and because of her, and you've turned me into a convenience. And you aren't even taking advantage of that fact anymore. I used to look at you and suddenly you...you...and now..."
She couldn't help it. She was used to attention. And she was beginning to feel like a reborn nun. Her lip quivered and she looked down at the ground.
