Luckily, when the two boys entered the home and turned on the light, Su wasn't in the living room, and thus wasn't caught... at least, not immediately. Unluckily, she happened to be on the second floor, in one of the bedrooms, which meant she was essentially trapped.
She heard the sound of the door slowly opening downstairs, heard the click of the light switch as it turned on. Fuck. She froze in place for a moment, not making a sound. Her eyes darted to the window, but there was nothing below it except ground; she couldn't jump down without hurting herself and she couldn't use magic here. Fuck, fuck, fuck.
Slowly, she crept out of the room and into the hallway. Maybe she could find a window in another room through which she could escape. But though she was skilled at moving silently, the house betrayed her... one step down the hallway, and the floor creaked softly beneath her foot.
