Kevin wasn't bored. He was rarely bored, not with the brain he had in his head. He had intended to spend some quality time alone with his brain on the beach, but had ended up with company in the form of Charis. He wasn't complaining about that, but he didn't mind the quiet in the car, either.
"Kissing breaks brains," he agreed wisely. "Only temporarily, though. You'll get your brain back. Don't worry."
He pulled up in front of the house, and got out of the car; the ride home didn't seme nearly as long as the ride there, as per usual. He was wondering about why that was almost always true. "You'll be fine. Let's get something to eat, food is good for your brain."
