Letting her thumb brush circles over his hand to give him whatever reassurance she could, Tonks replied, "It could be a trap." She paused, her mind working over all the possibilities, seeing it from all the angles she could. "Even if you look at it in the best light possible, it might not be safe."
She turned to face him more, meeting his eyes as she suggested, "Think of it this way, Remus... Say that it isn't a trap. Or at least, that a trap isn't Patience's intention. She could be planning on just wanting to run through the forest with you. But, her sister is still a risk. She could show up wanting to check in on her, she could have her own suspicions already and have made a trap outside of Patience's plans, she could find out later that Patience wasn't alone and figure things out..."
Dora sighed. "Even if Patience is innocent in all this- and she may very well be, given your instincts about her- her sister is still a risk you probably can't take. I'm pretty sure she's part of the team that's already after you. She seems to be one of the Minister's most-used Bounty Hunters, at least. Vicious, too, from what I've seen." She squeezed his hand, frowning as she said, "It's dangerous, Remus. Risks are good sometimes, but only to a point... and I think this might be well beyond that point." Softer now, she said, "The Death Eaters finding you somehow, catching you... it's one of my biggest fears. We-" She frowned, unsure if she had the right to use that pronoun. "You don't want to risk that..."
