Alec laughed, and then returned the smirk with a very slight one of his own. It was an expression Kevin had needed to practice before he could pull it off convincingly, but thankfully he'd had three years of acting before he'd ended up in the presence of a Death Eater by accident. He was thanking his lucky stars for that.
"I will look forward to it," he said, and stepped outside. "Goodnight, Chas."
He turned on the spot and Apparated, not caring at the moment that his Apparation skills were somewhat rusty - not in terms of Splinching himself, but in terms of landing in the right place. He wasn't anywhere near his car when he landed, but he was alone, not in any immediate danger, and he breathed deeply to feel the air in his lungs, allowing relief to overwhelm him at last as he returned to himself. That had been a closer brush with death or captivity than he wanted to think about.
