Fred was far from being nervous as he Apparated to Katie's front door to pick her up for the evening. In his mind, whether this was platonic or not, Katie was Katie and he'd never felt awkward around her, nor did he intend to start feeling awkward now. Not that he himself hadn't been ribbed on the implications of the evening by Verity, the girl who worked alongside him and George at the shop.
Either way, spending time with Katie had never been anything less than brilliant, so he knew tonight was going to be a good night, nonetheless.
He had dressed down for the occasion, having worn jeans and a tee. After all, they were going to be racing toy brooms, so dressing up would have been a rather silly notion, and not in the whimsical kind of silly way he and his twin chose to conduct daily business. Smiling to himself, Fred knocked on Katie's door, hiding a fistful of fireworks behind his back. He'd promised her more free fireworks, after all, and Fred Weasley was a man of his word.
