Her eyes narrowed at that statement. Clearly, Aurora had hit on a sore subject for the girl. It was not her fault she didn't know Barty quite to the level that she would have liked, but she knew him as best she could given the time they had. She took in a breath. "Yes, but it is evident you want a child. And sadly, he cares about you. So I wouldn't write it out, personally."
She wondered if it would do any good to continue arguing with the woman. She did not sharer views in the slightest and found it hard to imagine she could even believe in such things. She glanced down at the cup of tea in her hands.
"I do not mind giving you patience. My primary concern is making sure that we have an understanding." She looked up. "Father cares for us both and we should do our best to be pleasant around him. You agree?"
