Hermione had impeccable timing. Harry hadn't made it more than one step towards the door to go and find Hermione, when she appeared. It wasn't like they'd been trying to keep their voices down so she couldn't hear them, so he supposed her timing could have been purposeful.
Not that it mattered. She was here, and she seemed willing to listen to their plan.
"Ask Crouch what he wants," he said. "See if we can buy those people some time, buy us some time to come up with a plan to help them, if what he's asking isn't something I can give. And... if they're tracking the journals, lay a false trail to put them even further behind in finding us."
It sounded good to him, but then, so had 'warn the people who are in danger'. If there was a flaw in it, he was sure Hermione would see it.
