Ron frowned as he considered their options. Which, at the moment, weren't good. Do nothing and let everyone else on Crouch's list get killed, plus the others the bastard would inevitably add if he didn't hear from Harry. Or play into the bastard's hands . . . in which case there was still a good chance the son of a bitch would kill everyone on his list regardless, because the man was a sadistic Death Eating psycho, after all.
Still, Harry had a point. Knowing what Crouch wanted could be useful. But he also doubted it would be as easy as that. "Hell, I'm not convinced he actually wants anything, even if he does ask, except to mess with our heads." Ron paused, then added. "Or he just wants to keep you using the journal. They don't seem to have been able to track us with it yet, but maybe they're working on way that they can? Like with Muggle cops doing a phone trace." He paused, then added, "But you're right, playing along might buy time for us to come up with an actual plan . . ."
