Daphne tried to picture Serafina sitting at home with a name book, probably a baby name book, at that, trying to figure out a name for her dog. It was a silly imagine to her. She also found it hard to imagine someone would put so much thought into naming a pet. As far as not knowing much about the pet, that seemed odd to her as well. She assumed dogs to be unpredictable enough as it was, and knowing whatever you could about them would be surely be helpful.
She took a bite of her food and let Serafina move the conversation away fromt he dog, but found herself wanting to come up with at least one better suggestion for a name.
"My family is doing good. I don't see as much of them as I should, work takes up too much of my attention, but I know they are doing well. Mother and Father are traveling a bit themselves right now. They sound like they are really enjoying their ventures, but are finding some time to write." She took a sip of her tea before continuing on to tell about her business. "The Apothecary is doing well. Really well, actually. Things have picked up as of late and I'm finding myself with less and less time to socialize, sadly, so you aren't the only on who is out of touch."
