Who: Serafina and Daphne What: a chance meeting. When: Saturday, late morning ish. Where: random cafe Warnings: probably low. Status: In progress
Before she'd been given the puppy, Serafina had been considering actually getting more involved, in terms of work. It had been her dream as a schoolgirl to be the Minister for Magic, though of course that had never happened, and she had no desire to challenge Minister Crouch for his seat. She still loved politics and law, though, and she knew she'd be good at it. It would be much more fun, and new, to devote herself to a job rather than a husband, though of course Blaise would always be her first priority.
Then she'd ended up with a puppy, who still didn't have a name, and he was more of a demand on her time than she'd expected. He ate voraciously, and he needed walks all the time in order to prevent him from destroying either of her lovely (but extremely delicately and expensively decorated) houses. Serafina had never really walked very much of anywhere, at least once she'd learned to Apparate; her chosen form of exercise to keep her figure was to swim.
On one such walk, she let the puppy drag her with his nose to the ground to a little outdoor cafe - a magical establishment, she never would have touched a Muggle one - and sat outside to have a cup of coffee and a croissant, putting a plate of sausage slices on the ground for her little wiggly puppy. It was an unusual place for her to be, but she was enjoying herself, enjoying the fresh air and the mixtures of sweet and bitter in her food and drink. It was a lovely morning, verging on afternoon.
