"It was very unprofessional of me to mislead her," Theodore pointed out. "Otherwise I wouldn't bother." He couldn't say he was entirely pleased about the idea of explaining to Blaise's mother that he couldn't do as she'd asked, but if he found himself in a similar situation and simply went against her wishes, he imagined it would end much worse.
