"I don't know," Roger replied slowly, his brow furrowing again as his lower lip was dragged once more between his teeth. "Too much like my own life, I suppose... that hint of darkness always just there, ready to turn the tables." It reminded him in a way of his mother and sister- the happy, bright parts of his life- and his father and brother- their complete opposites in every respect. It also reminded him of something else, something he couldn't quite catch because it was just out of reach.
