"I was going to suggest drinks," Terrence said with a laugh. "But you didn't want one on s'more's night. The time didn't even occur to me - are you sure we haven't been here all day? Time usually flies when I'm having fun."
He would have checked his watch, if he'd worn one, but he hadn't. He usually only wore it on fancier occasions, so he could glance at it and make up an excuse about why he needed to be somewhere else. But he grinned and moved out of the water to set down his shoes and strip off his shirt before wading back in. He'd almost forgotten that he had fresh marks from Ella's nails and teeth, not even healed over yet, until the saltwater splashed up and stung a cut on his chest, but that only made him grin right before he dove into the surf.
