Justin studied each picture in turn as Colin flipped through the pages. He kept smiling because the pictures brought back lots of good memories. And everyone looked so happy in them. He and Rose had been good companions for one another before they'd run into Colin, and then Dennis but everyone was happier after they'd come together, the four of them and Max and Bandit.
He squinted his eyes, trying to memorize every picture so as to find what Colin meant but he wasn't one hundred percent sure what he was meant to be looking for. "I see a lot of memories and happiness on our faces, on your face. I'm sorry, Colin, I'm really not very good at this." He didn't have Colin's gift of being able to see inside of someone, down to their very core, by looking at them through a camera lens. That was something unique and special to Colin.
"Was that what I was supposed to see?" he asked, looking back over at Colin. He felt like he hadn't done it the right way. But he'd tried and that was what mattered. He knew Colin would explain it to him if he was wrong.
