Justin smiled over at Colin as he put his book away, though his brow furrowed at the sight of the other boy's frown. He hated that Colin was going through so much and wished he could make it easier for him. There was no way to do that, though, until Colin figured out what he wanted and it seemed like he had.
"Hi," Justin replied, a hint of a smile still playing at his lips. He was determined to remain somewhat smiling through this conversation because he was not intending to make Colin feel worse than he already did. Besides, he was going to love Colin no matter how this went, even if he had to make himself love Colin in a different way.
Sitting forward, he rested one ankle over the other knee, resisting the urge, for now, to pull Colin toward him to envelope him in his arms. "So, what's going on in your head?" he asked softly. He didn't want Colin to be scared to talk to him about anything.
