He raised his hands to push Demelza away from his face, taking steps back away from her, a look of disgust on his face. Who the hell did she think she was, talking to him like that? He crossed his arms over his chest, standing angrily and glaring across the small distance he'd put between them. At least she was giving in. Perhaps he wouldn't have to mention how she was connected to these outlaws, if she gave up the information so easily. It'd be better for him. Then again, he'd get off clean either way. Maybe he'd mention her, anyways. Sort of a revenge.
