Terrence raised his eyebrows in slight confusion at first, and then realized he'd been misunderstood. Admittedly, his word choice had been vague, but he'd actually been objecting to the idea of sticking around while she performed the task of removing each scale individually. That sounded mind-numbingly boring to him.
"No," he said, making a dismissive hand gesture. "Let's take care of the money first. I signed up for killing the beast, not skinning it." Not exactly what she was doing either, but he didn't care. She was the one that was a stickler about this being done properly, and he had every intention of letting her do it just so - by herself. She hadn't enlisted him for this part, so he really didn't foresee that being a problem.
