The witch was new to the black market, overall, but she was no fool. And her ability to read people and take things from their words had suited her well, even in a group of people used to watching all of those things. It had helped her a few times to catch things other newcomers wouldn't. But no doubt, there were still elements she was not used to - such as her flaw in conversation with Emil in their first conversation.
However, he had certainly either grown used to her nature or simply didn't care. His reputation, as far as she could tell, had been a good one. And this...if this were truly a chimaera, she was going to be impressed. The witch had ordered a drink - nonalcoholic but specialty for the sake of the restaurant getting more business since their stay was short - but it mattered little to her compared to what was coming in the evening.
The witch allowed herself a small smile, "We'll be able to leave when we finish the food." She had chosen her restaurant well, and it was all taken care of, up front. The tip had been excellent.
