"Did you? What are you going to do at the Ministry?" Colin didn't know what he could do at the Ministry. He wasn't much good at anything but Defense Against the Dark Arts and photography. That certainly couldn't make a very good job outside of photography for the Prophet. "All your paychecks for us?" His eyes widened. "Well, if I have a job, too. Then I would use all my paychecks for us, too." Maybe for Mum, too, though. She deserved a present. He hoped he could pay for her and Dad to have a vacation sometime. They would like that.
"I was going to say that it was because I was a Gryffindor and I was going to fight in battle, but I suppose that, too." When Justin pulled back, Colin thought he'd said something wrong, but then Justin's hands were on his face, and he felt his heart beating faster. Then Justin's lips were on his, and he made a small, happy noise and returned it. This was good. So so good. He'd missed this, missed Justin and kissing and all the touching and not knowing what they were doing but doing it anyway. One hand closed around the fabric of Justin's shirt. He wanted to keep him close, even if it was only for now.
