When the knock came at the door, Lavender was in the kitchen putting on the kettle. She was dressed comfortably, still wearing loose clothes since she hadn't lost all her baby weight yet. Besides, when you were running around taking care of a newborn, heels and accessories didn't seem so important.
Moving through the flat, she pulled open the front door and smiled at Colin. "Hey, sweetie." Opening her arms, she pulled him into a warm, almost maternal hug. "It's okay. Come inside, I'm making tea, and you can explain, alright?"
