Colin watched Zach quietly for a moment, almost wishing he had Hector so he could comprehend fully. Almost. He leaned up, pressing a quick kiss to the corner of Zach's mouth. "I'm sorry I don't have all the answers right now. I just don't actually know all of them yet. I don't want to give the wrong ones, okay?"
He didn't know what the right answers were or if there were wrong answers. All he knew was that he would need to figure it out. He just wanted someone to talk to. Someone who would make everything make sense. His brain worked better that way. It always had.
It took him a moment to convince himself to stand because he didn't want to. His eyes stayed glued to the floor. "I'm sorry." He really hated how this felt. He hated it a lot. It took even more convincing to make his feet move, a slightly pained expression making its way on his face.
