A sad smile appeared on Theodore's face. "I miss her too," he said. "All the time. Especially with my father gone." It seemed odd, to grieve his mother as well as his father, when it was his father who had died recently; he'd had years to cope with his mother's death. But he hadn't just lost his father, he had become parentless. That feeling was almost as overwhelming at times as the horrible memory of the way his father had been killed. "She'd have wanted you to have the relationship you want, I think. That's what I want for you, and I-" he smiled wryly- "Well, I take after her more than my dad."
