Theodore moved forward and, with the help of her sister, tried to help his patient sit down again. Swaying on her feet like that indicated that she might be near-fainting, and if she was going to pass out, that was best done when she wouldn't fall.
"You have a few options," he said, when she seemed to have quieted for a moment. There was no trace of bemusement or any other emotion on his face now; his expression was a mask of professionalism. "Would you like me to explain them to you?"
He wasn't going to assume that her current display of emotion was making her lean one way or the other, towards keeping the child or not. He simply wanted to help her return to thinking about it logically, which was the part he could help with. He was not trained to assist with emotional distress, though he could recommend someone for that if she needed.
