As the connection broke, Ella came back into herself and felt the sweat beading on her forehead. Legilimency when used on her was draining. Her knuckles burned white from the way she'd been clenching the sheets. Breathing heavily, she checked her forearm, but it was as still and faded as any day of the week when she wasn't being Summoned. If she'd legitimately broken the vow, she'd have dropped dead by now, right?
Stilling her breath, her gaze shifted to Terrence whose inner turmoil was apparent on his face. For a moment she debated not moving at all, lost in one of those rare moments in her life where she did not know what to do. But then she lifted her hands to either temple and moved them in a circular motion. She couldn't say everything was alright, didn't dare try to kiss him or touch him in any other way than to try and help work his head out, the way one might knead out a knot beneath one's skin.
If his head was anything like the way her's had been as she'd slowly come off the potion, she knew there wasn't much she could do to help him.
