Demelza almost replied several times, even getting as far as opening her mouth and starting to form a word before she would stop herself. Mostly she planned to say that yes, Devlin could be a little fake, but he wasn't that bad, or that snotty, no matter how much she knew that would be a lie. It wasn't that he was a horrible person or anything, but she loved him and that meant she would defend him. She only put him down to his face.
How could she even respond to that last point, though? Except, there was one thing she always had for that.
"Well I hate my mum. She is a dirty muggle." Dirty was stretching it, but she didn't care. "And...I know he's a bit uptight, I'm sorry. Doesn't sound so horrible, though."
