The floo activated and Demy looked up, even more excited than before. She was in her own pair of yellow shorts (okay, it was still one of her favorite colors) and a white tank top with pink, fuzzy slippers. The slippers were frequently hidden away in the back of her wardrobe, but they were the comfiest footwear she owned and loved putting them on after a long day.
Seeing that it was Katie, Demy grinned and plucked the tiny, white cat she'd started holding in her lap and made him sit on the couch. (Demelza owned two pets. One was the cat, named Sphinx, and the other was a yellow canary named Leo.) Jumping up, she threw her arms around Katie's shoulders and gave her a tight hug. Even a few weeks without seeing each other felt too long.
"Glad you could make it, miss life of the party. It would have been absolutely boring without you," Dem teased. "Pizza? Butterbeer?" She offered.
