Patience had woken earlier than her sister, which wasn't terribly surprising, though since they usually lived separately, she could not gauge whether it was normal. She knew, too, that Chastity had not been particularly motivated to leave the bed once she'd gotten into it, though she'd gone out for something last night, something Patience hoped had made her feel better. Regardless of whether it had helped her sister emotionally, it seemed to have affected her stomach.
Which was why, as she came back from her morning walk with the dogs - during which she'd written in her journal, while taking a break and sitting on a rock - she stopped in her garden to refresh her supply of herbs for tea. She already had some dried and mixed properly in her own recipe for helping an upset stomach, but there was no harm in replenishing her stores, especially if this was going to be reoccurring.
She entered the house, smiling faintly to see that Chastity was out of bed, even if she didn't move to acknowledge Patience's presence. She left the door open for the dogs whenever they wanted to come inside, and picked up Harmony, the female of her two orange cats. Peace, the lazy orange boy, and the two that she had rescued from Crouch Manor - one of which was Reggie and had been Bayleigh's, the name of the other was uncertain - were nowhere to be seen.
Heading into the kitchen, she put water on to boil and joined Chas at the table, setting Harmony in her lap and dangling a bit of string in her face. "Did you eat or drink something yesterday when you went out?" she asked. "Something that might have made you feel sick."
