Terrence knew her, at least as well as he knew himself. The changes hadn't disconcerted him yet, except for the fact that her wounds were healing; he wasn't bothered by her fangs at all, or intimidated by her extra strength and speed. Hell, it didn't even bother him that she'd been dead just minutes ago.
Or had she? His spellwork wouldn't have caused this, and it hadn't started before the battle.
"I don't know," he said, raising a fingertip to trace over her lip, brushing her sharper teeth. He grinned slightly, making it obvious that he wasn't entirely unhappy with this new development. Getting slammed against the pole like that had been awesome, and he'd never minded her drinking his blood. Even if that hadn't been the best thing for his own health at the moment, he thought a bit dizzily. "Best guess from all the evidence, though, I'd say it's got something to do with a vampire."
He paused, and then his expression lit with another thought. "That mean I'm going to be one, too?"
